Manage your online portfolio with Fluxiom

Some days ago I wrote about the importance of having a strong online presence as a way to generate business for yourself (you can read that article here).

One of the professions that need by all means a way to show an online portfolio are designers. Everything that a designer do must be show to potential clients so designers need a website to show their work to the world.

But not every designer is versed on the mysteries of XHTML+CSS, or techie enough to install a CMS to handle her online portfolio. Fortunately there are hosted web-based applications that can keep your online portfolio for you, so you are free to continue doing the job that pays your bills. Fluxiom is one of those apps, and in my humble opinion, the one with the best style out there (and you as a designer really take care of style, don’t you? ;))

Fluxiom was created by the nice people from wollzelle, a design studio from Vienna. It allows you to keep online all your media, share it with your clients without having to worry about storage limits in their email boxes, classify your pics with tags and customize the look of the application by adding your logo and using your color schemes. But undoubtedly, the most impressive feature of Fluxioum is its amazing interface, who is full with smart uses of the best technologies from the Web2.0 era. (you will be amazed, believe me).

If you are a designer, Fluxioum is by far the most neat online portfolio management system you will find out there. In fact, maybe you will have to improve your work in order to don’t make it look bad in the middle of wonderful interface Fluxiom offers. The only drawback I found is that they do not offer free plans to evaluate, just 30 days trials. Prices go from €9/mo (private plan, just 1 user) to €169/mo (deluxe plan).

If you want to know more about Fluxiom, visit its blog here.

So, now that you were “fluxiomized” maybe you would like to be “RobertoAlamos.comized” by subscribing to this blog by email or RSS. You won’t regret ;).
