How much can I make with my blog?
People get curious when you tell them that you are working to become a problogger, and immediately they want to know how much can you make writting in a blog. I have received this question a lot of times during these 3 weeks where I have been blogging about how to make money online so in order to avoid answering it again anymore, and just redirect the question to this post, here’s a small list of facts about what people had make with their blogs:
- Steve Pavlina from StevePavlina.com made $53 USD in the first month he made something with his blog. Twenty months later he was doing $1000 every day.
- Darren Rowse from Problogger.net, has reported he get “5 figures” every month out of their blogs.
- Jeremy Shoemaker from ShoeMoney.com has reported he make $10,000/month from direct ads (and a lot more from internet marketing business)
OK, those are pretty good news if you are thinking to become a problogger, but they are the best bloggers out there so surely there are other bloggers who are making money with their blogs but not as much yet… and there are:
- Everton from ConnectedInternet reported net gains of $8913 during March 2007.
- Jhon Chow from JohnChow.com made $352 the first month the devoted to make money with his blog. Then he made $1361, $2139, $2790, $3440, $7011 in each of the following months respectively. As of March 2007 he’s making $8545.
- Thilak Raj Rao from Tech-Buzz has reported he had gains for $3204 on March 2007 after a year of blogging.
- Daniel Scocco from Daily Blog Tips has reported he make $500/month from his blog after 4 months blogging, although I believe he is severely under-monetizing his blog.
Of course there are examples of people that make even less from their blogs, but these 2 lists are very motivating and I believe they are not so big to the extreme of saying “God, I just can’t compete with that” (at least with the guys from the last list ;)) so if you had the doubt if it was possible to make money from a blog now you have the response, with names and numbers
Why don’t you help me become a problogger by subscribing to RobertoAlamos.com by email or RSS. You will be proud of that ![]()

Thilak: Although you are not doing as much as other bloggers, you are still doing pretty well. Maybe you should make more promotion for your services, like the ReviewMe reviews, to increase your income even more

Arun: Good question. Their primary income source is advertising but they also use other kind of blogger services like paid reviews.
