« Five reasons you should practice prayer
Round 1: 3 Ideas to quickly make money online »

8th post (or what this blog will be about from now on)

I started this blog some months ago with the hope of offering everybody my thoughts on the topic of finding God in our times. Then I stopped writing content just when I was on the 7th post. I don’t why that happened. At the first time I was feeling I didn’t have too much to share with my readers. Some time after that I felt that I had things to say but I didn’t have the time to do it. Finally, some days ago, I realized that although I had some ideas to share about the relation with God, I just lacked the experience to provide real value for my readers. At this time I’m just developing my philosophy on this topic so all I can share are ideas, and not so many proved results.

But I have this domain with my name and I really wanted to maintain a personal blog, so I spent some days thinking on what I’m good for, and in what kind of topic I’ll enjoy writing in a (I hope) daily basis. I thought on writing about blogging, web development (I maintain a blog dedicated to software development in Coderbattery.com), information security and even on issues regarding with UFOs (weird, isn’t it?). But none of those themes made me feel that I’d really enjoy writing about them, although “blogging” and “information security” where very close to be elected as my blog’s theme.

Then, one day, I knew I have founded by theme. Since long ago one of my financial goals had been earning all my money thanks to jobs done on the internet. And I have accomplished it :) My first paid job was as a freelance programmer for a US company, then I went to work on a lawyer’s bureau developing web software, and now I’m full time dedicated to one of my dreams: Confianze.com, a company which I incorporated and co-funded 1 1/2 years ago, but where I have been working since 2002. There I work as CTO and all my work is done on the internet, being my main responsibility to develop and maintain our vulnerability assessment software and all their subsystems (they are web-based).

So I said to myself: “myself: I know how to make money online so let’s write about it in order to share ideas with other people who want to make money online but don’t know how, and to learn even more about this topic by making new friends and keep talking with my readers about this issue”. I also said to myself: “myself: I know there are very good blogs about the topic of making money online, but for some reason they are just too focused on how to make money online with a blog, and you and me know that there’s more in internet than just blogs, so let’s talk about how to make money online without restrictions and considering all the possibilities, from selling socks in eBay to being Larry or Sergey“. Besides, I have never made a dime thanks to blogging so hardly I’d come up with something of value about the topic of earning money just with blogs :P.

Anyway, I looked at this new idea and it was tuned with my goals as I wrote them in the first post, so I decided RobertoAlamos.com will become “the place to learn how to make money online”. I Hope you’ll enjoy this switch and find something useful here ;)

    Hi Jorge,

Thanks for your good wishes :) I also considered to create a blog on how to make money online in spanish, but you know, the spanish blogosphere is so small (it’s behind english, japaneses and chinese, but almost everything is in english) so I decided to write in english. I know there’s a lot of competition here but I’m pretty confident that I’ll make a difference.

Thanks for your comment and good luck ;)
